Memories Room

Our Memories Room is a walk back in time.  It has a Double Bed with a handpieced quilt.  The bed is one of the original iron beds.  The room does not have a bathroom, but one is available down the hall and a shower room is available at the other end of the hall.

Old pictures from Johnson County schools, induction into the army photo of Johnson County men, student pictures from county country schools long gone and a Southern Illinois still.  A lambskin land deed from the 1800″s is hanging on the wall above the bed.  This deed was granted to the owner’s family after the War of 1812.  The owner’s grandfather’s school diplomas from the early 1900’s are also on display.

Several Vienna High School Annuals from the 1940’s forward are also on display.  A quilt stand displays a handpieced quilt made by the owner’s mother-in-law in the 1950’s.
